[NEWS] 120508 U-KISS: U-Kiss to Stand on Stage with Shakira at South American Music Festival

On May 8, NH Media revealed that U-Kiss will be representing Asia at Evento 40, a South American music festival held on May 12, alongside Shakira and fifteen other top stars from South and Central America.

NH Media added, “Due to the rising popularity of KPOP in South America, U-Kiss was invited to represent Asia. This is a first for Asian artists. U-Kiss will be standing on stage with Shakira from Colombia as well as other top stars from South and Central America.”

With 2012 marking the eighth anniversary, Evento 40 is the biggest music festival in South and Central America, attracting up to 50,000 people every year. 

This festival will be overseen by Caracol TV Principales, a private broadcast company, and will be televised in Columbia and other major cities in South and Central America. 

U-Kiss fans are excited to hear of U-Kiss’ visit to Columbia, and some are already planning on waiting for U-Kiss at the airport. 

About the matter, U-Kiss shared, “As a Korean idol’s first visit to Columbia, we are feeling the responsibility in representing Asia. We promise to put on a great show that will make the hallyu wind spread in South America.”
