[INTERVIEW] 141214 U-KISS - Model Press Interview 'Sweetie' (Eng Trans)
Their latest single,”Sweetie” sounds it describe love between a person and another person, at the same time between an artist and fans. Not only that, it’s also a ballad like a sweet love letter to the fact our lives are all supported by art called ‘music.’
― It’s finally on sale. Could you tell us what’s the song about,first?
HN: Most of our ballad songs were about breaking-ups, and sounded lonely. But this time, it brings you happy feelings. Though it’s in midwinter, KISS ME’s hearts get warmer.
―I heared it, and those heartrending lyrics were straightly through my heart. What do you think when you’re singing this song?
SH: Thinking of our fans smiling.
KV: I sing it as if I’m staring at fans.
KS: Thinking of our fans.
― The concept is “sweet love letters,” have you ever written them in your life?
HN: I have when I was in middle school. I wrote it with totally pure heart! But…we broke up….
ALL: lol
HN: At that time, it was like,”I love you. I’ll protect you.”
KV: I’ve written it recently. It was a ‘happy birthday’ love letter to my mother for the first time in when I was in middle school. (How did your mom react?) She cried.
ELI: I wrote them every single memorial day to my ex-girlfriend. One-week memorial, one-month, 100 days, 200 days, 300 days, one year…, I wrote them every time. And special events like for her birthday and Christmas. (What did they say?) They’re all same.lol “Thank you for being happy together. I love you.”

— Let’s start with an introduction from the new member, Jun!
J: Nice to meet you! I’m the youngest member of U-KISS, Jun. Please take care of me! I’ll do my best.
— What are you responsible for?
J: Rap.
SH: He is a multi-player (skilled) and can rap, sing and dance!
— What is the theme or feature of your 9th single “LOVE ON U”?
SH: Firstly “LOVE ON U” is an up-tempo song and is a song that we can enjoy together with our fans. This song is a collaboration song for the jewelry brand “THE KISS”. We added a choreography to this song which we originally didn’t have and filmed the MV. It was titled “LOVE ON U” and we prepared for it so we could show you a new U-KISS.
— Is there a part you particularly like?
E: I do! I like the choreo where Kiseop sings “LOVE ON U~”.
