Hoon showed his potential as an action star with his appearance as taekwondo expert Tae Shik in Super Action’s Holy Land.
n a recently released Holy Land still cut, Hoon showed his action star potential with a breathtaking 170 degree high kick. His flawless form enabled him to kick his legs way above his head, attracting the curiosity of viewers for his performance in Holy Land.
Hoon, who actually owns a taekwondo black belt in real life, said, “I have taken Taekwondo training until my high school years and it was helped me a lot during the filming of Holy Land. Although it was difficult to shoot an action scene, it was rewarding to see my hard work pay off in the high quality production.”
Hoon also possesses a great singing voice thanks to his experience as a solo artist. In addition, he stands out with his taller than 180cm frame and warm appearance. Moreover, Hoon had left a strong impression with his earlier appearance as a presidential bodyguard in SBS’ Athena: Goddess of War.
Holy Land is a four part action drama that tells the story of an undersized protagonist who learns the basics of boxing and other martial arts - such as taekwondo, judo and wrestling - in his quest to become the ultimate fighter. U-KISS’ Dong Ho will appear as the protagonist Kang Yoo and will show his transformation as a fighter. Many viewers are eagerly anticipating his change from his boyish and tender appearance into a tenacious fighter.
Holy Land is a drama based on a Japanese comic book by the same name and also referred to as a ‘fighting manual’ by its fans. The drama will premiere on April 28 at 11 pm.
